■Collaboration company ~Nozaki dyeing~
Founded in 1945, Nozaki Dyeing Co., Ltd. is a company specializing in traditional fabric dyeing. We are one of the best in Japan in handling ultra-high-quality and delicate fabrics such as silk, wool, and prints.
Because of its technology, it is a company with wonderful technology that continues to receive nominations from famous global high-end brands.

This collaboration is a project that is filled with the same feelings that I had with Mr. Nozaki, the head of Nozaki Dyeing.

■What is dead stock? Let me explain about dead stock, which is also in the title of the project. Deadstock is fabric that is not intended to be used.
It's not that the quality is bad, and the fabric is used for coats that cost over 100,000 yen, but due to production and sales reasons, there is a lot of fabric left over around the world.

The fabrics never see the light of day, just waiting to be disposed of. . .
However, some brands are now starting to make effective use of such fabrics.

Among these brands, I personally would like to see [renacnatta] , which I once had the pleasure of speaking on stage with.
I sincerely respect the brand creation that combines Italian and Japanese materials.

■How did you realize this project?

Well, two years ago, I was also consulted by Mr. Nozaki about the effective use of dead stock fabrics.
However, there was nothing I could do at the time, so nothing ever materialized.

However, this time I thought of making a kapok blanket using dead stock.
In today's world where ventilation is necessary even in the winter, we believe that a light and warm blanket made from kapok filling is a product that will definitely be enjoyed, and when we announced this project on Instagram, we received a huge response.

I believe that there is significance in creating a business that utilizes these idle assets.
Furthermore, thankfully, there are many people at Kapok Knot who are interested in communicating this kind of information.
We created this blanket to incorporate each of these efforts into a single copy of ``light kapok, lights the future.''
